About the band

Born of a genuine passion for '80s pop music

Many retro and 1980s tribute and covers bands we see learn the tunes, dress up, and deliver a tongue-in-cheek parody show. Entertaining for sure, but it doesn't run any deeper than that.

We love the era, and we mean LOVE IT. 💕

It's when we grew up. It's when we got our first Walkmans and discovered our favourite bands and artists. It's when we played out on our BMXs until the streetlights came on. It's the posters on our childhood bedroom walls. It's our memories of first loves and school discos.

We love its music, film, TV, toys, fashion, video games, popular culture - and from the very first note you can feel this genuine affection and fondness in our performance. The attention to detail, production, vintage equipment, professionalism and the nostalgic atmosphere we create sets our show apart as a truly authentic '80s experience.

Katie (Vocals)

Katie has to be heard to be believed. A cool, understated performer who can switch effortlessly between the pop style of Madonna and Wilde, the soaring soul energy of Whitney and Estefan, and the gravelly rock of Tina Turner. The absolute icing on the Guilty Pleasures cake.

Rich (Guitar & Vocals)

Natural show-off, cheeky chap and charming entertainer, Rich commands the stage with his strong vocals and crazy guitar skills. A time-served pro who has been at this game a long time, and can work a crowd with the best of them. He's also our main gig organiser, booker and schmoozer.

Paul (Drums & Percussion)

The backbone of the Guilty Pleasures sound, Paul has been playing professionally for almost 30 years across many musical genres from folk to metal and everything in between. His vast experience of live performance, and knowing what works in what situation is worth its weight in gold. And he has a van.

Simon (Keyboards & Sax)

Music nerd, vintage gear geek, and technical obsessive - in addition to playing synths and sax, Simon works on much of the audio and visual production underpinning our live show. He's the 'one more time' guy in rehearsals that guarantees we bring the absolute finest performance to your venue, party, wedding or event.
